Ear Anarchy

Hi girly girls and burly boys! In the future I shall simply refer to you all as burlys and girlys. I have a question on parents of my family...I have been having problems with my inner ears. It is a mixture of things from a rush of heat to a feeling of fullness or numbness and tingling like when your foot goes to sleep, only not as intense. I have had ex-rays, massages, been adjusted for my neck, back and TMJ, and no luck. It doesnt go away. The only thing that happened that puzzles me is that when I had a root canal done two weeks ago, the following day the symptoms were gone and stayed gone for over a week. Then they slowly came back. As soon as the "attack" starts if I open my mouth really wide it stops. Since Drs and dentists and chiropractors seem unable to fix me, do any of you have any ideas? Ever heard of it or had it? Im at my wits end and I am going NUTS with this! I have to have more tests of course, but I feel angry about it. Its very irritating to have tingling (not noise or ringing), in my ears all the freaking time. Ive done alot of research on the internet but its all what ifs and maybes at this point. I dont like my ears anymore.

It sounds like you may get better results talking to your dentist than a doctor. Sometimes you wonder what they know after all. Sorry for the negativity. No, i think it is sinus because when you open your mouth wide feel how it stretches your sinuses? now, don't you feel better?

Have you seen an ENT? That is your first stop, if you haven't yet. It could be anything. You could have problems with your eustacian tube; your cochlear nerve could be cranky. Even motor-neuron problems like ms can be felt first in the ears. Find a good ENT.

Becky, what could Treebeard possibly know about ear problems? If you don't get the joke you haven't read the hobbit.
