We have been called for a conference with Aaron's teacher. He's being silly, talkative, and as a result not doing his best work. Well, ok. That perfectly describes my boy. Here's a sample math problem from last night. Third grade....
1784+1784-x=1215
Is this typical of Christina, Riley and Emily's recent third grade math experience?? We are in a math/science magnet school, and I'm just curious about how this measures with the rest of you.

I agree with you, Frau. That seems a little tough to me, too.
Honestly those are about the same as our guys did last year. We thought it was a bit much too but amazingly they survived it.
