Hello all - since no one is posting I will endeavor to liven the blog. I have some questions:
1. Frau, it seems that the plan to sever part time staff at the city has reduced the risk for the time being. Is this true? What is the scuttlebut on Broadway?
2. Fig, how is the dog adjusting? And, when is school starting for the nephews - must be soon?
3. Marti, where is your house? I still don't know.
4. Tim, is your gang still planning to come east for thanksgiving? And, if so are you still looking for some good places to hang out in the area?
5. Mom, how much did the price of pellets go up over last year? Just curious.

I think face book is overtaking the blog, but I still likethe blog. Maybe I haven't commented because not much goes on here. As for the price of pellets, it seems I paid about the same last year when I got my last bags and about $25 over what it was when I got my frist bags. I just put up 7 pints of green beans (not from my garden) and looked at a really good web site for canning and freezing of all kinds of things. I am so excited I will again watch the side of the road for anything good. No telling what we will have for Thanksgiving.
Just so everyone knows - I DO NOT HAVE A FACEBOOK and have no intentions on getting one either. It does not interest me in the least. I much prefer the blog.

Also, as long was what you find along side the road isn't roadkill - i'm good.
Im considering facebook just to share Jadiepoo's pics. Havent gotten around to thinking about it much though...to much other stuff to consider. As to the scuttlebutt on Broadway...my snappy response is that many butts are indeed scuttling away, but we dont know if enough scuttledge has taken place until after August 14th. (deadline for retirement/payout deal) Then it becomes very vague. Its been very anxious and much whispering in groups. I dont have time to whisper in groups, I must continue to work. Which means I will probably be one of the first to go after August. yes that did involve a smirk and rather deflated giggle. So many city jokes, so littel time. I am including this lovely smirking giraffe picture for everyones enjoyment. if you get off facebook that is! she said crisply! Speaking crisply makes me think of apple crisp which sends my thoughts to dinner. Which makes me wish Amanda would cook, but maybe not as she is perhaps the WORST cook in the history of it! Well, thats it for now. Please enjoy your day, embrace your paychecks and if you think about it send your left overs up to feed this poor possibly unemployed sister of yournin. I know y'all can cook, so get some baggys and stamps and feed me! I dont know what that means. It just came out of the end of my fingers.
