Tim and Tom, (and Beth, since you were right in the thick of it),
When you were boys, about age 9, were you constantly poking, wrestling, chasing, aggravating and generally making mayhem? Please tell me you were and that this is just normal boyhood. W and A are about to put Kevin in his grave with all the noise.

yes - we even did drop kicks up in the attic on a mattress on the floor on middlebury. Riley also is very rambunctios and for the sake of survival, Em joins in. Kev is not alone. So much better than having whimpy boys. At heart, all boys are warriors.
As I recall we were pure evil. By we I mean them. Its a wonder that old house is still standing today after Mom's herd of stampeding elephants grew up there!
almost forgot, Fig I printed this picture out and put it up on my wall of fame at work. I have a nice bulletin board going of my family and the hairies. This is a fabulous picture!
I keep telling Kevin this is normal, but he insists that most people in the world didn't grow up like "wild indians" like the Shultzs. He may be right here. Maybe other people do (did) have more cooth. Or maybe other people just don't remember. Or maybe other people just aren't as brilliant. Not my Kev, of course. He must belong in the "we had cooth" category.
Perfectly normal I assure you. We were all endlessly at war. Not to put too fune a point on the antics of young boys, but one of us was in a "fight" nealy every day at school on Middlebury it seemed Do Tom and Beth recall the gang of young uns who ambushed some older kids who had been picking on us, and pelted them to fleeing tears with snowballs. The kids mother then complained to Mom? It was great!!!!!!!! At Southeast, I got in a playground fight my first day there with Richard Elliot. I won ( said while beating my chest albeit congested and coughing ). I once saw Tom beat a kid up with his crutches. I got beat up by older kids numerous times at elementary school, and returned the favor to others. All in good fun because it was nothing more than young boys flexing their muscles.
I believe that your children have the "seize the day" gene liberally swirling around with the "spirit" and "chaos rocks" genes. I would hate to see a child without any of it! I understand Kevin feels like he's being tortured because lets face it, he is! But wouldn't the house be sad and gloomy without the noisy sunshine of Will and Aaron. You can only think that way when they are grown and gone...tee hee
